WHAT IS PARENT & ME?
A gentle first step into school — together.
Parent & Me, often called Mommy & Me — is a 90-minute cooperative class for toddlers 12–36 months and the grown-up who loves them. Saturday mornings in West LA, we open the classroom for free play, art, music, and circle time — the same play-based rhythm our co-op has been built on since 1947. There’s no drop-off and no pressure. Just an easy way to find your village while your child learns what school feels like.

Ninety minutes of free play, art, music, and a snack-and-circle wind-down. Teachers guide gently; you stay close. Most kids spend the first session watching and the second session diving in.

Yes to all of it. We call ours Parent & Me because any parent or adult family member is welcome — moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles. We ask that only two caregives attend at any given time. (Nannies, babysitters, and siblings can’t join; the class is built for one-on-one time between your enrolled child and their grown-up.)

Tours are required for all Parent & Me applications. You’ll experience the school, meet our director, and see if Little Village feels like your village too.

We run sessions throughout the year and enrollment opens a few weeks before each one begins. Sign up for a tour and we’ll make sure you hear about the next session first.

No — Parent & Me and preschool admissions are separate. That said, many of our preschool families start here, and you’ll already know our teachers and community when you apply.
